Day 6 was another free day, but we were moving base from Insadong to Myeongdong. We still had many things to do in Insadong, but we had to curate our wants list. π₯
The Gyeongbokgung (palace) was a definite must for first time tourists (I had gone though), and we managed to squeeze that in before checking out of our hotel. It was a bit of a rush though! I wish that we could have time to visit the other palaces too.
The check-in for our Myeongdong hotel wouldn’t be until 3pm, so we dropped our bags and went off to Hongdae. Lunch was at Halal Guys (at last! satisfying my crave of four years!). We also dropped by a cafe run by a Singaporean in Hongdae. Walked for a bit and then went back to properly check into our hotel. Dinner was take away from Busan Jib.
I wish I had taken more photos π¦ I also wish I had one more day in Insadong!

Some thoughts
I personally found Hongdae a bit underwhelming, and there was a smell about the place that kind of bugged me throughout my visit. It was just me though…so I’m not sure.
I do think that perhaps I may need a Hongdae native/pseudo-native to bring me about. It probably didn’t help that I was travelling during covid times.
