Diary of an Internet Addict

I am writing this, back in Singapore. Merely less than 12 hours ago, I was in Vietnam. I always felt it somewhat unbelievable – “I was just at…”

Just this morning, for instance, I was having tea with lotus seeds while looking over the Hoan Kiem lake. Unbelievable.

So, back to the trip.

Yesterday was our actual proper day in Vietnam, so this morning, we spent time with last minute shopping. The shops weren’t open yet when we were out – we suspected they would open only after 8.30am. We hit the Hoan Kiem lake as we wandered, and there was a coffee place with a Starbucks vibe, overlooking it. We sat down and had our breakfast.

True enough, a number, but not all the shops were open. But it was good enough for us to satisfy our last minute shopping.

Thankfully, the traffic was smooth at this time of the day, and we reached the airport in good time.

Tip: Don’t visit Vietnam in August, because weather 😦
