Itinerary
- MBC World Theme Park
- Haneul Park
- Myeongdong Night market
Before I knew it, more than one month had passed since I returned from Korea. At the point of writing this paragraph, it is exactly two months. I know it for sure – it is constantly in my thoughts, I long to return to Korea to continue exploring. So many places I’d like to go. Busan, Jeju, Ilsan…and so on. (Ok I admit it, BTS was very influential in where I’d like to try to go)
Even the Haneul Park – the place I went to on Day 4 – I’d like to see it in the different seasons. I’ve not even fully explored the place.
1) MBC World Theme Park
This place is crack. You should definitely go here on a weekday noon. There’s not many people so you can explore all the booths. If you participated in both photo and video, you should buy the thumbdrive (where you purchased the tickets to the theme park) – saves a lot of money.
The whole theme park comprises three buildings. All in all, I think you’d spend around 2.5 hours max here.
2) Haneul Park
Haneul Park is huge. A bit scary though – when I think of getting lost in the grass there, I get slightly overwhelmed. Well, I did get lost on the way there…
We stayed around 2-3 hours there, pretty long I think – yet still not long enough. I guess mostly I was running around trying to take photos of myself with a camera on a timer. The weather and time when we were there was perfect.
We packed our lunch and ate there, enjoying the scenery the park had to offer. (I could have sworn I took a photo of my lunch, but I can’t find it!)
3) Myeongdong
Later at night, we explored Myeongdong area and ate dinner at the night market. The area was quite lively – mostly with tourists. There were mask and cosmetic shops everywhere. Innisfree has quite a prominent building there. Also Kpop merch shops around the area, and in the station itself. The food stalls had a range of street food – a definite try is the lobster (I think it’s quite decently fresh, if not very expensive compared to Singapore) and the wobbly egg bun thing (?)
Expensive lobster. Ouch.
The wobbly egg bun thing which reminds me of Terengganu’s roti goyang.
